CRAIG loves his wife. He loves his children. And he loves sleeping with other women.
And it's smartphones that enable him to do it, all the time, anywhere, without arousing suspicion.
'I use technology all the time to hide my infidelity,' he tells News Corp Australia.
Travel the continents of the world taking photos in different countries. To win you must outwit your opponents to be the player who has returned home with the most photos. Craig — not his real name — is in his early 30s and has been married for five years.
He describes his marriage as '95 per cent perfect' — except for the bedroom part.
'I would say my family life is 95 per cent perfect, but it's just the 5 per cent that is lacking.'
To keep himself satisfied sexually, Craig looks outside his relationship to find sex.
And in today's technology-saturated world, an affair is just one click — or app — away.
'This may sound strange, but I love my wife and family, yet our relationship in the bedroom — particularly when we had kids — had become practically non-existent and very boring,' he says.
'So, I've been on Ashley Madison for three years. I find that it satisfies my needs in this area, and therefore, I'm much happier around my family and enjoy them more.'

In addition to being a regular user of the site, Craig uses a variety of so-called 'cheating apps' which help those seeking to conceal their infidelity hide their texts, photos and calls from their partners.
One such app is CoverMe. Although the app is not marketed as a cheating app per se, CoverMe is an ideal tool for participating in illicit relationships: it hides texts and calls from certain contacts, remotely wipes messages and offers an invisible vault that is 'completely impenetrable without the password'.
The app also boasts 'full messaging control … [so] you immediately know when the recipient has read your messages'.
'CoverMe is great. It encrypts all of my calls and text messages, and I can safely send photos as well,' Craig confides.
'What I particularly like about this app is that is has a selfdestruct function which erases the message once it's been read or after a specific time of your choosing.'

Craig also uses the Madison Ashley app while travelling around Australia: 'It lets me know [of] other members in my area, what new members have joined and what they are after'.
Until recently, he was also a fan of Vaulty Stocks — which hides photos and videos inside a virtual vault within one's phone, disguising it to look like a stockmarket app — before it 'practically wiped out all my contacts'.
'I liked it at the start because as I work in the financial sector, I thought this app could be a ‘cover' as a stocks app,' he says.
Yet, despite his affairs, Craig says he would be 'devastated' if he caught his wife using a cheating app.
'In all honesty, I would be upset if I found out that my wife uses these apps. She's not very tech minded, so I doubt she would, but nevertheless I would be devastated all the same if she was,' he confesses.

And it appears that in the murky world of cheating apps, those seeking to cheat will definitely find something to suit their needs.
Whether it's CATE (the Call and Text Eraser); Nosy Trap, which displays a fake iPhone home screen and takes pictures of anyone who tries to look at the phone; or TigerText, a kind of salacious Snapchat which makes raunchy messages disappear after a certain amount of time, savvy entrepreneurs have caught onto the no. 1 capitalist commandment: if there's a market for it, it's fair game.
But as it so often happens in science — and technology is a science, of sorts — for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.
These very apps, which play such a large role in deceit, can also be turned on the cheat.
Harrison (not his real name) suspected his girlfriend was cheating for months before installing a tracking app, Copy 9, onto her phone — 'one that records all her sent and received messages'. After three days, he saw a text message she'd sent saying, 'I love you so much' to a male friend, accompanied by a 'kissy emoji'.
'I broke up with her. She even admitted to having feelings for this other guy. I'm heartbroken pretty bad now but I'm home and safe.'

In many cases, the creators of these apps advertise them as a subcategory for a product marketed to parents, employers, or for one's own protection — 'Millions have chosen Vaulty to protect their privacy!'
Sex therapist Susie Tuckwell says the apps are not to blame for the 'deliberately deceitful behaviour' of the people who use them to cheat.
'In this instance, what he's doing is saying that it's his wife's fault that they're not having sex, ' she says.
'He's been unable to stand up to say he wants sex within their relationship, and has gone through his actively sneaky way ... [to create] a fantasy world. He keeps it in a bubble, but when it gets out, real hurts get broken.'
Ms Tuckwell says that the apps can be used positively by people really needing to explore parts of their personality or sexuality in private, or to seek help.
'A young person who is gay who is trying to find out about their sexuality without mum and dad knowing can use this … or an abused wife may be able to contact her family or police to get a rescue'.
'It's about ethics, really. It's not about the apps, but their use.'

Coins & Tickets
You can earn coins in the following ways:
- Apply for jobs in the newspaper, they can be based on either knowledge or skill.
- Answer city questions correctly.
- Play every day to earn the daily reward which increases with each day.
- Buy Souvenir Items in one city and sell them for coins in a different city.
- Complete quests and help strangers who can reward you with both coins and tickets.
You can earn tickets in the following ways:
Play guitar on the street, fill your bucket to earn tickets. Upgrading your guitar will allow you to earn tickets and empty your guitar case faster.

The Daily Reward will reward you with both tickets and coins.
Tip: Be sure to activate push-notifications in the game so you know when the bucket is full to faster earn more tickets!
Cities
Each city has five stars that you can earn, once you earn all of them you have completed the city. Check your tablet for information on how to complete stars for the city you're in, for example by completing jobs or sites.
Cities will unlock as you progress through the game by collecting city stars. You can unlock locked cities with tickets from the Globe view.
Each city has three sights that you can visit, complete all three sights to earn a city star.

To complete one of the city stars in either London or Washington you need to help a lady over the street. To meet this lady you need to answer city questions by clicking on the question marks seen in the city view.
The lady will come up in a random order while answering city questions.

New cities are released regularly. When they are, they will be available to travel to by booking a ticket. Check out 'News' in the Tablet to know when new cities are launched!
The Tablet
Your tablet displays your game progress, statistics, news updates and missions required to earn city stars and complete cities.
Travel Center
The Travel Center allows you to book tickets to new cities. You can also travel to a city directly from the Globe view. The Travel Center opens up after sleeping five nights in the game.
You can travel by plane, boat or bus.
To be able to travel to the next city you need to go through the introduction steps. When you have done this you will have you're first trip booked and the Travel Center opened!
After you have done your first trip you can book tickets in the Travel Center or by the Globe-view.
Items
Energy items will increase your maximum energy during the daytime in the game before night falls and you need to sleep. The more energy you have, the more coins you can earn each day.
Consumable items are used to for extra help or boosts, they can only be used once. Items include Energy Drinks, which increase your energy, and Pepper Spray, which protects you from robbers.
A Non-Consumable item will increase your game progress and chance to succeed. They can be purchased from the Tourist Center Shop or through pop-ups in the game. Non-Consumable items include the Umbrella, which reduces energy consumption on rainy days, and the Clover, which increases your luck by 5%.
Souvenir items are unique for each city, they can be purchased from the Souvenir Shop. Souvenir items can be sold for a profit in cities different from the city they were first purchased in.
Golden Statuettes are rewarded when you complete a site. They are stored in your Backpack as a proof of your game progress.
The gift shop is open by night in the game and is located in the city view with an OPEN-sign icon. Click on the OPEN-sign and you will enter the gift shop.
To be able to enter the gift shop you must have one trip.
If you have sold a souvenir that is needed to be sold in a city to complete a city mission you can get it again by travelling back to the original city and purchase it in the gift shop. In the city mission it is always stated where the item can be bought.
So, if you don't have the souvenir thats is needed to be sold in your Backpack follow hese steps:
1. Travel to the city specified in the city mission where the souvenir is located.
2. Purchase the souvenir in the gift shop.
3. Travel back to the city you need to sell it in.
4. Sell the souvenir to the salesman in the gift shop to complete the city mission.
Jobs & Diplomas
Complete jobs in different cities to earn coins. Jobs are found in the Newspaper. There are two types of jobs:
Knowledge based jobs are represented by a hat symbol. These jobs will challenge you with trivia questions. To earn your Job Diploma you must reach the minimum salary limit. Earn your salary by answering questions correctly.
Skill based jobs are represented by a helmet symbol. These jobs will challenge you with mini games. To earn your Job Diploma you must reach the minimum salary limit. Earn your salary by winning games such as Fish Sorter, Locksmith, Darn or Memory Expert.
Some jobs require previous experience. If you are unable to apply for a job, complete lower ranked jobs in that field first. You cannot apply for an Expert job before you have completed Junior and Senior jobs in that field first.
In order to get the city star about earning job diplomas, you no longer need to collect unique diplomas. Keep completing jobs and the city star will be yours in no time.
